This kitchen renovation in Lyme, CT married together white and silver in a big way. The warm oak floor allowed us to showcase and contrast the white painted cabinetry along with a white beaded ceiling and beams. The 48″ Professional Sub-Zero refrigerator and stainless accents on pendants, appliances, stools and fixtures mixed well with the white and gray stone tops. It reads classic, bright and functional. The overall design respects the vistas to the cove and the glass doors stretches the kitchen to the patio and to the river.
Rick Gedney partnered with Point One Architects to create this space.
Note the multiple work areas, balanced asymmetry on rangetop and cleanup sink walls. Plenty of wide deep drawers add to the functionality and professional look and the tapered transitional island legs are classic with a transitional wink. The integrated wine refrigerator and undercounter refrigerator in the island make this a wonderful entreating space.
