Roasted Chestnuts

You don’t need an open fire to roast chestnuts if you have the Wolf Convection Steam Oven! The unique modes of the Convection Steam Oven allow you to steam and then roast your seasonal chestnuts, allowing them to peel easily.

PREP TIME: 15 Minutes
COOK TIME: 25 Minutes
LEVEL: Easy
YIELD: 1 LB

Ingredients

1 LB Chestnuts

Method of Preparation

  1. Preheat your Wolf Convection Steam Oven to 210° on the Steam Mode.
  2. Prepare the chestnuts by scoring a line across the rounded side of the chestnut until you are past the shell. Serrated knives work the best but be careful as the chestnuts tend to be slippery and unstable.
  3. Arrange the chestnuts on your perforated Convection Steam Oven tray, and steam for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, change the temperature to 400° on the Convection Mode. You do not need to remove the chestnuts from the oven while changing modes.
  4. Roast for 20 minutes, and peel while they are still warm.
  5. Serve and enjoy!
