Cathy Whelan is a Clarke Showroom Consultant in our Milford Showroom and has been a valued member of our Clarke family for 15 years next March!
Cathy’s journey to Clarke began in Scotland where she was born and then emigrated from to the United States with her mother, father and sister in 1965. She then found herself at Fitchburg State, working towards a bachelor’s degree in special education. During her time in college, Cathy got the opportunity to go abroad her senior year and work as a student teacher at “the American International School” in London, England. While abroad, Cathy was exposed to many different cultures as she taught 3rd graders from all over the world: Iran, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, USA, etc. and got to travel all over Europe. Prior to coming to Clarke, Cathy was a Customer Service Manager for a high-tech company in Hopkinton, MA before she had her son in 1990.
When asked about her favorite part about her role here at Clarke, Cathy says it’s “the opportunity to engage with and educate our clients and provide solutions. I genuinely enjoy the client interaction – learning about them and their unique project.” Cathy’s incredible knowledge and pride in Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove products are what make her a perfect fit for her role, “It makes me so happy to be part of a team in a showroom that works collaboratively as we complement each other and ultimately create an environment that epitomizes hospitality.”
Apart from helping people discover their dream kitchen design, Cathy above all, enjoys spending time with family and friends. In addition, Cathy also enjoys gardening, “currently, I’m addicted to Garden Answer and her YouTube videos. I strongly recommend her for anyone who loves gardening; she is so talented, positive and encouraging!” Cathy is also a big reader and “in three weeks will be kicking off the beach reading season at the Cape” with one of her favorite authors, Elin Hilderbrand.
We are so lucky and grateful to have Cathy as part of our Clarke family. We are proud to recognize her achievements. Thank you, Cathy for all that you do here at Clarke!
