Check Out Seaport Saturdays in Boston!

Trillium_small

What does the clothing company the Boston Globe called “The Top Innovator in Retail” have in common with New England’s leading distributor of wine and spirits? Or a beer geek and botany nerd who are taking Boston by storm? And why are these companies in the same sentence with an award-winning lighting designer?

All of these innovators are part of Seaport Saturdays, an exciting new weekend showcase at Clarke’s 7 Tide Showroom at 7 Tide Street in Boston. Johnny Cupcakes, Trillium Brewery, Lucia Lighting and Martignetti Liquors have all signed on to launch Saturday Pop-Ups at Clarke’s award-winning showroom over the coming months.

“The Boston Seaport is a bustling place Monday through Friday to be sure,” explained Clarke President Sean Clarke, ” but little do people know that Saturday offers a unique opportunity to explore this exciting neighborhood when the traffic is calmer and the focus is on personal fun instead of professional business.”

Clarke’s Official Sub-Zero & Wolf Showroom and Test Kitchen intentionally opens on Saturdays to give homeowners a relaxing day to visit and find inspiration for their homes without the pressure of rush-hour traffic and noontime congestion. Seaport Saturdays are designed to give homeowners in the city, as well as those traveling from shoulder communities like Brookline, Newton and Wellesley, an extra reason to come to 7 Tide on the weekend. With free parking at the door, as well as exciting high-tech, high-touch sensual experiences related to home design and delicious food preparation, 7 Tide offers a rich atmosphere for these entrepreneurs to show their wares.

Saturday, February 17- 10AM-4PM – Johnny Cupcakes

Come enjoy the world’s first T-Shirt Bakery! You may have visited their Newbury Street shop or seen them in pop-ups throughout the region, and if you haven’t you’re in for a treat! What better setting for Johnny Cupcakes to pop up than at Clarke, where cooking is king? Johnny Cupcake customers often begin their journey thinking they are walking into a bakery to get a cupcake when they find delightful t-shirts, tote bags and more. Customers have included John Stamos, Kevin Garnett, Spike Lee, Seth Rogan and other celebrities. This is your chance to find out what all the buzz is about with this delightful experiential brand. If you don’t catch them in February, they’ll be popping up at Clarke at 7 Tide again in April.

Saturday, March 10 -12PM-3PM – Trillium Brewing Company Tasting

If you’ve stood in line with the crowds waiting to get into Trillium Brewery in Boston’s Fort Point Channel, come enjoy their pop-up in the relaxation of Clarke at 7 Tide. This trendy brewery was founded in 2013 by JC and Esther Tetrault who decided that wanted to start a brewery for much more than the beer. They named their brewery for the trillium flower, which represents beauty, strength, simplicity and balance. Come learn about this New England farmhouse brewery and taste their wild ales while browsing Clarke’s awe-inspiring kitchens.

Saturday, March 24 – 11AM-Noon Lucia Lighting

Want to become enlightened? Then talk to one of the design experts from Lucia Lighting. They’ll be on site at 7 Tide for a free one-hour lighting seminar sharing their knowledge about lighting trends for kitchens and every room in your home. Known as much for their creativity as their technical expertise, this is a unique opportunity to ask your questions and get true lighting insight for your home. If you can’t make it March, then perhaps you’ll want to mark your calendar for May 5th when they plan to return.

Saturday, April 7 – Martignetti Wine Tasting

With origins in a family owned grocery business in Boston’s North End, the Martignetti family received the first license to sell beverage alcohol in Massachusetts after the repeal of Prohibition in 1933. They’ve grown to be the leading distributor of wines and spirits in New England and the 7the largest distributor in the country. So they know a little bit about wine and they’ll share their knowledge and offer tastings at 7 Tide in Clarke’s showroom on this Seaport Saturday. Sipping a glass of fine wine is the perfect way to spend a day exploring the designs of the region’s finest architects and designers at 7 Tide. You’ll want to ask Clarke Showroom Manager Jeremy McCulla and his staff about Sub-Zero Wine Storage during your Martignetti tasting. They’ll show you how to keep your wine at not only the perfect temperature, but also the perfect humidity.

This is just the beginning of Clarke’s Seaport Saturdays. Stay tuned for seminars on the world’s finest stone countertops from Marble and Granite and more exciting reason to visit Boston Seaport on Saturday. When you’re done at Clarke, leave time to visit the Institute of Contemporary Art or, if you’re traveling with children, the Boston Children’s Museum is just a hop, skip and a jump away.
